EICMA 2023 came to a close last week and what a week it was. Paul and Tej were lucky enough to get invited out to Italy to attend the show so got to see some of the new releases first hand!
We’ve rounded up some of the key new releases and updates from our incredible portfolio of brands below!
Honda
It’s been a big week for Honda, with several new releases being revealed:
Honda Hornet CB500 & CB1000
First up, 2 new additions to the Hornet lineup. Sitting either side of the CB750 you can now find the CB500 and CB1000.
The CB500 meets the requirements for an A2 licence holder, while the CB1000 satisfies those riders who love the styling and feel of the CB750 but yearn for something a little bigger.
Now you can join the hive no matter what size engine is your preference! It would be great to see the Honda Hornet lineup extended to include a 125 model one day.
Honda CBR6000R
Honda’s middleweight supersport jewel returns! This model was phased out back in 2017, but after a revival in the middleweight sportsbike class Honda felt it was time for the CBR600R to make its comeback.
This is a bike destined for street and track, featuring all the tech you’d expect on such a bike.
Honda NX500
Honda’s latest touring offering is perfect for those looking for an adventure ready machine that doesn’t carry the extra weight of a larger bike.
This is a bike that will be just as at home on your daily journeys as it will on the open road. The most refined 500cc adventure bike from Honda yet.
Honda CBR650R E-Clutch Update
The CBR650R gets a package of updates, but the key talking point is that this will be the first bike to include Honda’s new E-Clutch technology (which gives the rider choice of automatic clutch operation by simply using the shift pedal).
Honourable mentions also go to several models that will receive updates for 2024: CBR500R, CB650R, CBR1000RR-R Fireblade and the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP.
Kawasaki
Kawasaki have already made some exciting announcements this year, but they added to the list at EICMA.
Kawasaki Z500 / Ninja 500
Both the Z500 and Ninja 500 are suitable for A2 licence holders, and the smaller size of each model makes life easier for shorter riders or those who want the added confidence of being able to reach the ground easily.
It seems riders looking a bike in the 500cc range are being spoiled for choice this year!
Kawasaki Z 7 Hybrid
Kawasaki recently announced the Ninja 7 Hybrid, and have now added to that with the Z 7 Hybrid. The Z 7 Hybrid will feature the same ground-breaking technology as its faired sibling and draws power from two sources - a 43.5kw max power 451cc water-cooled four-stroke twin cylinder internal combustion engine and a 9kw maximum rated electric traction motor.
Original Colours for Ninja in 2024
For 2024, Kawasaki have reimagined the original 1985 Ninja 900 colours and are offering a 40th Anniversary edition of the Ninja 1000 SX and Ninja 650.
The two-tone Firecracker Red and Ebony panels are carefully selected to match the brightness of the originals.
KTM
KTM 990 Duke
KTM have gone after the 1000cc market, bridging the gap between their 890 and 1290 models. The 990 features a potent 947cc engine, all-new chassis and swingarm, plus updated ergonomics and technology. It will come in two colour options – black and electric orange, the latter created to mark 30 years of Duke!
New KTM 390 Adventure Colours
KTM’s entry to the adventure scene will come in 2 fresh colour scheme for 2024 – a new grey/white option to go alongside the orange/black.
Yamaha
Yamaha Ténéré 700 Explore
The Ténéré 700 Explore has been created to help riders of all levels embark on epic adventures. A lower seat height of 860mm provides increased comfort, convenience and ground access and a 50% larger screen offers greater weather protection.
It also features a quickshifter for seamless upshifts.
2024 Yamaha MT-09 / MT-09 SP
For 2024 the MT-09 has had an overhaul, with a re-designed head lamp and new fuel tank that encourages a more engaged riding position. The bike’s ergonomics have been refined with modifications to the key touch points to offer greater freedom of movement and suit a wider variety of riding styles. Another update is the 5” TFT full colour screen with integrated smartphone connectivity and navigation.
The MT-09 SP features fully adjustable Ohlins suspension, with the shock now having a higher spring rate, and the new Brembo monoblock Stylema calipers – the very latest technology. As the MT-09 SP is ready for road or track, you will now find four customisable TRACK YRC modes that are additional to the two custom modes and three factory-set modes available on the MT-09.
Yamaha XSR900 GP
Yamaha’s latest heritage model is an homage to the GP bikes of the 1980’s paired with the latest in cutting edge technology. Truly one of the most unique new bikes we’ve seen in recent years.

CFMOTO MT-X Concept
The CFMOTO MT-X concept draws inspiration from the most capable rally racers. It has all the features you might expect from an adventure bike, and the fuel tank sits in a lower position than any MT model that has come before. This lower centre of gravity optimises stability and improves handling for both day to day use, and when terrain gets treacherous.
CFMOTO 450 MT
CFMOTO’s proven and successful 449cc parallel twin platform has been tuned for the excitement of adventure riding. Sitting at a dry weight of 175kg this bike is easy to handle, while the 200mm of suspension travel offers a confidence inspiring off-road ride. It’s a bike that will feel comfortable on tarmac and offer full control on the roughest trails.
CFMOTO 800NK GP
This is the most powerful bike of the NK naked range and is infused with the ambition of CFMOTO’s Moto3 racing project. It’s ready to hit the track and offers a sporty riding position with elite technical features. Everything about this bike is race focused.
CFMOTO CL-C Low Ride
Cruiser cool and a fresh custom vibe have landed with the CFMOTO CL family. A bobber style rear end and aggressive attitude is enhanced by a twin high-level exhaust system and the engine casings continue the monochrome theme, accentuating the bike’s colour scheme.
CFMOTO CL-X Spirit
The latest member of the CL-X family is a custom scrambler style bike which oozes cool from every angle. The twin high-level exhaust paired with a redesigned brown leather seat, two-tone paint scheme and off-road inspired spoked wheels with dual purpose tyres offer an exciting and stylish ride.
